Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 — Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha or Moshi, heading towards Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees.

Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive through diverse landscapes, from open savannah to riverine ecosystems along the Tarangire River. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and a wide variety of birdlife.

You will stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later in the evening, transfer to your lodge or camp near Karatu/Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 — Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations.

The crater floor offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, providing an excellent chance to spot the Big Five, including the rare black rhino. Expect to see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and flamingos around the soda lakes.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
